Client Incentive Program

Incentive Program*:
We have created a  voluntary incentive program* which allows individuals to earn points by utilizing the centers resources and activities.  These points will be redeemable towards the incentives listed below.
 
The purpose of this program is to encourage our clients to do those things which they may find emotionally or financially challenging to do.  Therefore by offering a tangible, short-term, immediate, reward for engaging in appropriate activities, clients learn two things:
  • To take things one step at a time
  • To find creative ways to meet their financial responsibilities (See workshop below).
Incentives offered:
  • Assessments offered by the Resource Center
  • Gift cards for gasoline, department stores, dining, etc.
  • Help meeting other needs not available through other means (utilities, school supplies, etc.) (This option to be offered at a later date.)
*Eligibility: 
In order to be eligible for this program, individuals must first go through the following workshop to be eligible to participate in this program:
Incentive-Earning Activities:
Incentive-earning activities will be agreed upon in advance between the client and the consultant, and are always based on what is in the client’s best interest, leading towards their personal goals.
 
Following are some typical activities which may qualify for incentive points: (PDF file)
 
OUTSIDE RESOURCES:
  • Support group participation (unemployment, grief, anger management, or other topic relevant to individual’s needs)
  • Education / Career counseling – participation
  • Counseling/therapy – participation
  • Spiritual direction/ pastoral counseling – participation
  • Other consultant/skilled helper consultations (legal, financial, business/marketing, education, etc.)
  • Outside seminar/workshop/ conference attendance
  • Informational interview
  • Follow up on referral
  • Networking activity
  • Research possible lead
  • Follow up on resource lead (including participating in local food bank programs if appropriate)
  • Follow up on lead
  • Set up/ Update / Revise resume, CV, and/or professional social media site and other job-search marketing tools based on current best-practices
  • Participate in student club meetings and/or activities
  • Individual needs based on individual’s unique situation (updating professional license, C.E. units, etc.)

IN-HOUSE  RESOURCES:
  • Read a book
  • Handout completed
  • Workshop attendance
  • Assessment completed
  • Participation in structured group activities (movies, group discussions, etc.)
